Brockville General's mental health crisis line transitions to 988
Beginning on October 21, 2024, Brockville General Hospital’s Mental Health Crisis Line service will transition to the 9-8-8 Helpline, which will provide enhanced toll-free live support by phone and text 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In the South Eastern Ontario region, this service is provided by our partners at Quinte Health.
9-8-8 is available for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis, even if you aren’t considering suicide. When you call or text 9-8-8, the person you connect with will listen with compassion and without judgment, and give you space to talk. Whatever you are going through, they want to understand, and support you. 9-8-8 responders can help you explore ways to create safety when life gets overwhelming.
