Paid parking returns December 17
Brockville, ON, December 13, 2018 – Effective Monday, December 17, paid parking will come into effect at Brockville General Hospital (BGH).
For the last six months parking fees have been suspended as construction on the 93-bed patient tower took over the previous staff and visitor parking lots. Following the completion of the north parking lot and the successful installation of the parking gates, paid parking will resume.
Paid parking will be similar to the previous system. Upon entry to the parking lot, a ticket is collected from the parking gates. Pay stations will be available inside the atrium/main entrance and inside the emergency entrance to pay for parking and collect a ticket to exit the lots. Payment options include cash, debit, or credit. Payment is also available at the parking gates using credit cards only (Visa and MasterCard only).
To serve patients and their loved ones who may be making frequent visits, parking packages are available for purchase. BGH offers single-day, 5-day, and 30-day rates with unlimited access. These may be purchased from the Business Office (located inside the main entrance of the Charles Street site).
Paid parking at our Garden Street site will also resume, with a daily maximum of five dollars.
Construction is anticipated to be complete in spring 2020.
