Brockville General Hospital declares COVID-19 outbreak
Brockville, ON – October 7, 2022 – Brockville General Hospital (BGH), in consultation with the Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit, have declared an outbreak of COVID-19 on our Inpatient Medical Surgical Level 2 unit. As a result, the unit is closed to registered visitors.
To help patients and loved ones stay connected with each other, BGH offers a free virtual visiting service. A virtual visit is an alternative to visitors physically coming into the hospital. To book a virtual visit, please visit www.BrockvilleGeneralHospital.ca/VirtualVisit.
BGH is in the process of completing the necessary contact tracing and testing. Affected patients, essential care partners, and staff are being notified by BGH.
Please limit the transition of any illnesses (colds, influenza COVID, or other illnesses)
A reminder to our community to help stop the spread of any infectious diseases during cold and flu season. Please wash your hands well and often and consider staying home or wearing a mask if you’re feeling unwell.
