Student loan forgiveness
As a designated Rural Community Hospital, family doctors or residents in family medicine, Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses may be eligible for the Canada Student Loan Forgiveness Program. Please visit the program website for more details.
Human Resources will assist you by providing you with the letter of support so you can apply for this benefit. If you qualify, you could receive up to $40,000 in Canada Student Loan forgiveness. $8,000 per year, over a maximum of 5 years.
Are you an internationally trained nurse?
The Supervised Practice Experience Partnership, or SPEP, program is designed for Internationally Educated Nurses who have passed the registration exam but do not have evidence of recent nursing practice. We support the SPEP program and have designated professional practice support to help you get started
