Cancer Care
It can be difficult to navigate through the system of care you are receiving when you or a loved one has cancer. Brockville General Hospital’s healthcare team can help guide you through the process by providing select services in the Leeds and Grenville Counties so you won’t have to travel too far from home.
Our cancer services consist of the Regional Systemic Treatment Program (RSTP) and the Ontario Breast Screening Program. You can now receive select supportive treatments in Brockville. Please consult with your doctor or healthcare team to find the treatment services you need.
Treatments
Our Regional Systemic Treatment Program offers services like chemotherapy and other supportive treatments.
The RSTP is a partnership between Brockville General Hospital and the South East Regional Cancer Program (SERCP), which aims to make timely, appropriate cancer care accessible in our region, no matter where you live. If you’re receiving treatment at the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario in Kingston, you may be able to receive treatment at BGH. Just ask your doctor.
You can find the RSTP in the Cancer Care clinic located on the third floor of our legacy building at our Charles Street location. To contact the clinic, please call 613-345-5649 ext. 51250.
Ontario Breast Screening Program
The Ontario Breast Screening Program detects breast cancer in its early stages. Any woman over the age of 50 who has never had breast cancer, has no acute breast symptoms, and is a resident of Ontario is eligible for a 45-minute consultation. You can book an appointment by calling 613-345-5649 ext. 51120.
