Visiting Banner

The safety of our patients must remain our top priority, particularly during the era of the COVID-19 virus. However, research has proven that time spent with a loved one is vital to a patient’s recovery and well-being. See our visiting page before coming to hospital.

Helping you get the right care at the right location

If you are experiencing an emergency or crisis, please go to the nearest Emergency Department, or call 9-1-1.

There are several options to access the right care in our community.

For a non-threatening concern, call your family doctor or primary care provider first

Your family doctor knows you best. They can offer diagnosis and treatment for common illnesses and injuries and provide referrals to healthcare specialists who can help with a specific condition.

Local Family Health Teams include,

  • Athens Family Health Team
  • Community and Primary Care
  • Leeds Grenville Family Health Team
  • Prescott Family Health Team
  • Upper Canada Family Health Team

If you do not have a primary health care provider call 1-800-445-1822 to register with Health Care Connect.

 Examples of when to visit

  • Sore throat
  • Painful urination
  • Rashes without fever

    • In-store lab-based testing, by appointment only

If you are having non-urgent concerns, please speak with your family doctor or primary care provider.
