Julie’s Community Updates: June 22, 2026
As part of our commitment to keeping our community informed, Julie Caffin, President and CEO, provides updates on the latest news from Brockville General.
- As part of our routine maintenance, a section of hallway near our Cafeteria is blocked off to conduct repairs on our water pipes. The repairs are expected to take approximately two weeks. If you are visiting the hospital, you can use the Blue Elevator to access Inpatient Medical/Surgical Services on levels one and two.
- June 21 was National Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a day to celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and voices of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. We recognize that Brockville is on Mohawk Territory and is situated on land that was inhabited by The St. Lawrence Iroquoians and later by the Oswegatchie people.
- June 21 was also Father’s Day. To all the fathers at Brockville General and across Leeds Grenville, thank you for all you do every day. We hope you had a great Father’s Day.
- June 26 is International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. We stand together to raise awareness, support prevention, and promote a healthier, safer community. Together we can reduce stigma, support those affected, and emphasize the importance of prevention, education, and recovery.
