Julie’s Community Updates: May 11, 2026

As part of our commitment to keeping our community informed, Julie Caffin, President and CEO, provides updates on the latest news from Brockville General.

• Outpatient services are impacted by the Victoria Day holiday on Monday, May 18. All inpatient and emergency services are operating as usual. Outpatient services will resume on Tuesday, May 19. Check our website for more information.

• This week is National Nurses Week and I want to recognize the over 400 nurses in our organization for the role they play in patient care, safety, and community health. We are so fortunate at Brockville General to have strong and dedicated nurses across our organization, and we appreciate everything they do, every day caring for our community.

This week includes May 12, International Nurses Day, celebrated globally on the birthday of Florence Nightingale, whose legacy continues to shape our profession. Her work reminds us that nursing is grounded in both science and humanity — and sustained by teamwork.
