Julie’s Community Updates: October 2, 2026

To deliver on our promise of  high-quality healthcare we depend on many people. Every person in all roles across our organization contribute to Brockville General achieving the high standards we have set for ourselves.

In this week’s Community Update, I draw your attention to the following:

  • The first full week of October is National Healthcare Supply Chain Week. This week provides us with an opportunity to honour the people working behind the scenes, supporting the complex chain of events that ensures the right healthcare products are in the right place at the right time. Healthcare supply chair professionals play an essential role in supporting patient care.

  • At Brockville General, we have a team of dedicated professionals and experts caring for patients and families who have had or are at risk of stroke.

On October 21, you can hear from some of these experts by attending the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation’s MEDtalk, EVERY SECOND COUNTS.  This session will focus on stroke prevention, treatment, and recovery. The event takes place at the Aquatarium.

To attend this free event, register online at EVERY SECOND COUNTS: Stroke Prevention, Treatment & Recovery.

Julie’s Community Updates are posted weekly on Fridays. Subscribe to our newsfeed to get notified when new updates are released.
