Brockville General names new Chief of Staff

After an extensive search process, Brockville General is pleased to announce that Dr. Greg Manning will join the hospital as Chief of Staff on April 1, 2025. Dr. Manning is currently a Senior Medical Director in Newfoundland and Labrador’s provincial healthcare system (NLHS).

Brockville General is in a unique position to grow and evolve. I am eager to work with the clinical teams at the hospital to help meet the future health needs of Leeds Grenville.”

Dr. Manning is recognized for his visionary approach to healthcare, blending strategic insight with operations. He has led rural practices in Newfoundland and Labrador to increase service quality and accessibility for smaller communities in the province. He aims to leverage digital tools and alternate practice models to transform healthcare.

Dr. Manning is a Cardiac Anesthesiologist and Critical Care Physician. He completed medical school and residency training at Memorial University and is fellowship-trained at the University of Ottawa. He has practiced in St. John’s, NL and the Ottawa Heart Institute.

After completing a Global Executive MBA in Healthcare and Life Sciences at Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto) in 2022, Dr. Manning shifted his career towards health system development. Additionally, Dr. Manning is the Chair of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee for the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society and is a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at the World Federation of Anesthesiologists.
