Julie’s Community Updates: April 13, 2026

As part of our commitment to keeping our community informed, Julie Caffin, President and CEO, provides updates on the latest news from Brockville General.

·         April is BeADonor Month. Brockville General is proud to partner with Trillium Gift of Life and to participate in this important month of recognition and awareness. Organ and tissue donation saves and transforms lives, yet many Ontarians have not registered as donors. As donor registrations decline across Canada, sustained public awareness and education are more critical than ever. Hospitals play a vital role in supporting informed conversations about donation, dispelling common myths and misconceptions, and encouraging people to make this life-saving decision. We kicked off the month with a TGLN Flag raising.

·         Our new Fluoroscopy equipment has been installed, staff have received training and we have reopened this service.

·         This week, April 13, we celebrate our Laboratory Team as part of National Laboratory Week. This week promotes awareness and understanding of the role of medical laboratory professionals in Canada’s healthcare system. Medical laboratory professionals support patients throughout their entire health care journey. We are proud of our Lab Team and thank them for the vital role they play in patient care at Brockville General.
