Patient Transportation Services

Discharge time from the hospital is prior to 11 a.m. In the event that family or friends are unable to assist with transporting a patient home, there are several options available. The following list represents some, however not all, available options for patients. 

Please note, patients are responsible for the cost of transportation.

Elite Transfer Service

This service offers non-emergency patient transfer by wheelchair, Broda chair, powered stair chair, or stretcher. 

Hours of service:

  • 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Regular operating hours
  • 6 p.m. - 11 p.m. After hours pricing

Hülpr

The professional team offers high-quality rides and accompaniments to support a wide range of needs. The service can accommodate patient transports via wheelchair, Broda chair, stretcher, and stair chair. Long distance travel, including outside of Ontario, is available.

Lanark Transportation

This service provides transportation to residents of Lanark County and the Town of Smiths Falls and can serve patients on discharge from hospital. Bookings need to be as far in advance as possible.

Paratransit

This service is available to residents of the City of Brockville who have a mobility or cognitive disability. Service is provided within the municipal boundaries and only to registered passengers. Rides must be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

Priority Patient Transfer Service

This service offers non-emergency patient transfer by wheelchair, broda, and stretcher. Please connect with the unit clerk, who can provide them with a quote and book this service for you. This service should be booked either day before discharge or early morning of discharge.
